How do I start using InTimid?
1. Sign up or log in to your profile.
2. Talk to kAI to discuss your values and dating preferences.
3. Receive your AI-curated matches.
4. Start chatting, voice calling, or video chatting within the app.
Is InTimid free?
We offer a free 2-week trial version followed by a choice of a paid Active or Passive Subscription. See Pricing Page for more details.
When is InTimid launching?
We’re launching in Spring 2025! Join the waitlist for exclusive early access.
Matchmaking & Profiles
Do I have to answer every question?
Nope! You can skip questions you’re uncomfortable with. But remember, unanswered questions mean we can’t consider that information when finding your matches. For example, instead of skipping, you could say, “I prefer a match who isn’t very religious.”
How many matches can I have at once?
You can have up to 3 matches at a time for active members. If you want an additional match, you must first unmatch one of your current connections. Our passive members have 1 match slot available. Please see Pricing Page for details.
Why don’t you allow profile pictures?
We use avatars instead of photos to focus on compatibility instead of appearances. This removes the stress of picking the “perfect” picture and helps foster deeper connections.
Can I send pictures and chat with my matches?
Yes! Tap the paperclip icon in the chat to share pictures. You can also message, voice chat or video call your matches within the app, removing the need to share personal contact details.
How do I change my avatar?
Select 'Select Avatar' in the main menu. Your avatar evolves as you interact with the app, reflecting your personality and preferences. kAI may prompt you to update it after you complete key modules.
I know InTimid is LGBTQA+ friendly, but does
InTimid include open relationships?
We’re open (pun intended) to all relationship styles, but for now, we do not have the option to match singles who want open relationships. This feature is in the works for the future– so stay connected on our socials and email list for when this goes live!
What steps are taken to ensure fair and unbiased AI matchmaking?
We are committed to fairness and transparency in our AI. We regularly audit our algorithms to check for biases and ensure they don't discriminate based on race, gender, orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
Moderation & Community Guidelines
How does InTimid prevent fake profiles and bad behavior?
Every user must complete mandatory verification, eliminating bots and catfishers. Only mutual matches can message you, preventing spam or unsolicited messages.
What happens if someone is inappropriate?
If someone breaks our guidelines, you can:
1. Unmatch them: This removes them from your dashboard and helps refine your future matches.
2. Report them: If they engage in harassment or other violations, our team will review their account and take appropriate action.
Privacy & Security
How does InTimid protect my privacy?
Your privacy is our priority. Our AI removes personal details before using any data for matchmaking. All your information is encrypted and protected with regular security checks to prevent unauthorized access.
What data does InTimid collect, and how is it used?
We collect basic preferences and app activity to improve your matchmaking experience. We never collect sensitive data (e.g., financial details) and never sell your information. Any data we share for service improvements is fully anonymized.
How is my data stored and protected?
Your data is securely stored using industry-standard encryption methods. We employ strict access controls, firewalls, and regular security audits to safeguard your information from unauthorized access and breaches.
Do you share my data with third parties?
We never sell your data to third parties. We may share some anonymized, non-personal data with trusted partners for research or analysis to improve our services. We always prioritize your privacy and ensure any data sharing adheres to strict privacy regulations.
Can I delete my data?
Go to the 'Main Menu' to delete your account and all its data whenever you want.
